A fetish is when a part of the body, or object, is an extremely important part to achieve sexual arousal. Research demonstrates that in general fetishists have poorly developed social skills, can be isolated in their lives and may have a diminished capacity for establishing intimacy. Body parts may also be the subject of sexual fetishes (also known as partialism) in which the body part preferred by the fetishist takes a sexual precedence over the owner. Yet whilst for some people a sexual fetish may be regarded as a disorder of sexual preference, for others it might be seen as an enhancing element to a sexual relationship. Paraphilias are a group of persistent sexual behavior patterns in which unusual objects, rituals or situations are required for sexual satisfaction. Although mild forms of these conditions probably have occurred in the lives of many normal people, a paraphilic person is distinguished by the insistence and relative exclusivity with which his sexuality focuses on the acts or objects in question - without which orgasm might be impossible. Approximately half of patients observed in clinics for treatment of paraphilias are married. A person with a hypnosis fetish may become sexually aroused by being hypnotized, by hypnotizing others, by becoming aware that they have responded to a hypnotic command, or by seeing other people respond to hypnotic commands. Therapy: The purpose of psychoanalysis is to discover unconscious conflicts that are believed to originate in childhood. Meanwhile, there are two distinct classes of psychopharmacological agents - anti-androgens and SSRI antidepressants -- are prescribed as part of the treatment of paraphilias and paraphilia-related disorders. Anti-androgens have been shown to reduce recidivism rates in male sexual offenders, the group most commonly prescribed these medications. For about 15 years selective serotonine reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) have been used in the treatment of paraphilias. However, the cause and medical treatment of paraphilias are poorly understood, and treatment is rarely effective. Individuals with masochistic tendancies use sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors involving the act (real, not simulated) of being humiliated, beaten or otherwise made to suffer in order to achieve sexual excitement and climax. These acts may be limited to verbal humiliation, or may involve being beaten, bound or otherwise abused. It's not surprising that an estimated 70% of people with a fetish or paraphilia suffer from a depressive disorder as well. Thus, a subset of paraphiliacs may be suffering from obsessive-compulsive-related disorders and may benefit from serotonergic agents. This particular patient population may be more difficult to interview because they may be more likely to have guilt associated with their disorder, therefore making them reluctant to openly share information with the interviewer. Most paraphilias are far more common in men than in women. . sexual fetish treatment, nlp and fetish treatment, counselling for fetish, diaper fetish, partialism, hypnotherapy, nlp, feet fetish, foot fetish, adult babies, submission and domination, spanking, smoking fetish and obsession, transgenderism, fixation. pornography obsession and compulsion, rubber, PVC, latex, domination/submission, adult babies, cross-dressing, scat, spanking/caning, punishment, sub/dom, nipple, shaved, swedish, blondes.
